When it comes to displaying your prints, it doesn’t mean you are limited to only hanging it on the wall. You might want something more relaxed or you’re restricted in using nails…or maybe you’re like me and your walls are already covered in art!
For me, there are 3 ways I like to display my art prints if I am not hanging them on the wall.
1. ON THE FLOOR
If you have a large print, it can look great leaning against a wall – it gives a very effortless element of chic to a room. For these prints, you want to pick a large statement piece – especially if you are propping it up in a big space like a living room. It should be visible from different angles within the room so making sure it takes up enough vertical space is important!
TIP: Utilising framed works on the floor can also be a great way to hide cords or unused outlets.

2. ON THE DESK
Placing smaller prints on your desk is an easy way to personalise your space. A desk is somewhere that many of us spend the majority of our time, so you want it to be an inviting and inspiring place!
You can use frames with their own stand or if your desk is against a wall, you can easily rest frames against the wall too.
3. ON CONSOLES, CREDENZAS AND DRESSERS
In my studio, I have a gallery wall behind my desk and then a loose gallery of framed prints on a long console. Lent against each other, it adds a 3D element to the space, and with touches of flowers and other sporadic placements of smaller decor, it creates a living moodboard!
I love that I can swap these out whenever I please to easily change up the room. Being able to change these easily is one of the biggest pros of not hanging on the wall, as you can just change it up from season to season or even just based on your mood!

BONUS TIP – MAKE IT UNIQUE!
Establish a unique focal point by displaying your art on an easel! Whether it’s a small one that sits on another piece of furniture or a large easel to proudly display an impressive artwork, it’s a beautiful way to add interest to a room and highlight a special piece.
You can also lean artworks on chairs, place them on stacks of books and many other different places to break up the room and add some creative flair.
