INTRODUCING THE ILLUSTRATED WORLD OF COUTURE

I was first drawn to the world of couture while watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the very first time. I was completely mesmerised by Audrey Hepburn’s iconic Givenchy dress, it was the first time that I realised couture existed….

Creating a larger scale coffee table book is something that I had always wanted to do and I knew that it had to be centred around the world of couture; a world that is so beautiful, mysterious and ever changing. It is such a special and secret world where there are just so few pieces created by each designer with each piece so incredibly crafted. It utterly fascinates me.

The Illustrated World of Couture explores the couture creators, collections, drama, details, cities and of course, the inspiration! I see each piece of couture as a work of art and I really try to capture not only the details but also the emotion of the piece within each of my illustrations throughout the book.
