Feature: Silk Scarves

By February 29, 2024No Comments

Scarves are so timeless to me. It brings to mind thoughts of old Hollywood glamour – Grace Kelly in a car with a scarf around her neck in To Catch A Thief or Audrey Hepburn elegantly wrapped in a head scarf in Charade.

A scarf is not only stylish but perfect for keeping that cold breeze off your neck or hair out of your face on a windy day. They add a touch of understated elegance to an outfit, are a great way to accessories and also an art piece in their own right.

1. STYLE

My favourite way to wear my scarves is around my neck. There are so many ways to tie a scarf – such as a classic knot or into a large bow. Sometimes you don’t need to tie it and can wear it as a loose shawl or roll it thin to have it hang around your neck under a blazer.

2. ACCESSORISE

I LOVE bags – I have too many to count! It’s one of my favourite ways to accessorise with scarves. I enjoy playing with different textures and adding a scarf onto a bag adds another point of interest. Bags aren’t the only way to accessorise – you can wrap them in your hair or tie them on your wrist as an alternative bracelet!

3. ART PIECE

Scarves can be a work of art in their own right – I certainly think they are!

If you have a scarf that you adore but find yourself not getting a lot of wear out of it, a wonderful idea is to have to it framed or hang it up on a wall.

Each scarf is made from 100% Italian silk twill with hand rolled edges.
