Megan’s Favourite Bags

I can remember the day I stepped into Chanel London and purchased my very first designer bag – a Classic Chanel Flap in baby pink. I saved for years before I could buy it, but it was more than worth it as twenty years later it still has pride of place in my wardrobe! Not only are bags a joy to use but they are such a dream to illustrate – a reason as to why you can find so many of them in my books and prints.

Whether it’s the tote bag that accompanies you every day or the glamorous clutch that keeps you looking chic in the evening, a bag is much more than just a functional piece! They make a statement and are an expression of who we are. And I’ve picked three of my favourite bags to share with you all, each one unique and special to me.

This bag was a collaboration between BULGARI and fashion designer Mary Katrantzou. I love her designs so this was such an exciting collection for me. And I couldn’t help but fall in love with this one. You can change the handle for a gold strap but the unique handle is really what draws me to this handbag.

This bag just reminds me of sipping cocktails while lounging in the sun on an Italian Mediterranean holiday! It doesn’t look it, but it’s a very small bag – however, the stunning florals are such a statement. I do love to go all out with this bag and pair it with a fun floral print dress!

I was looking for what felt like forever to find the ultimate cream handbag. And this Chanel Boy Bag was a dream come true! It was a limited edition and the aged cream leather was something that I fell in love with. For me, it is a forever bag as it goes perfectly with everything!

All tree bags are stunning. Bags are very personal and bring us joy every time we use them. Each of your 3 bags here are very different and no doubt finish off your beautiful
outfits. I always check out your shoes & bags when you post on instagram etc. My latest bag purchase was for my 65th birthday. Black leather quilted with the shoulder strap
threaded through a gold chain. Yes it is Chanel inspired. Not a knock off but just good quality leather. I love a classic look. Love your work. I have a few of your books as coffee table books.
    Keep being you.
