Megan’s Travels: Rome

By September 28, 2023No Comments

In July, I was lucky enough to escape the misery of Melbourne Winter and head over to Italy and Greece for the Summer with my family. It was sweltering hot but the beauty of walking through the gorgeous streets of Rome was more than worth it!

There is just so much beautiful architecture in Italy, and Rome was just stunning. We passed so many magnificent buildings while walking from one destination to the next. And walking is truly the only way to experience these kinds of cities as you can stumble across so many hidden gems and just bask in the beauty of it all as you wander through the cobbled lanes.

One of the highlights was seeing the Trevi fountain, it has to be my favourite fountain in the whole world. It’s always busy with tourists but that never takes away from the beauty of it. I could just stare at it for hours and not notice the other people around me. It’s just amazing!

I think I had gelato every day…sometimes twice a day! One of those treats that I tell myself is totally okay on holiday! But it was very much needed because of the heat. I was so glad I took my blue set from Poca & Poca for this trip as it was perfect for the weather, especially paired with my Dior sandals which I think I wore almost every day.

I had the most magical time in Rome, wandering the streets as we headed for dinner and seeing the gorgeous colours of the sunset as we soaked in the beauty of this gorgeous city. It was so inspiring and I cannot wait to go back again.
