When it comes to hosting a dinner party, it can always be a bit daunting deciding what direction to go in.
The first thing I want to do is decide on my centrepiece – this will then help with determining my theme!
My go to is to choose a table runner – it sets the scene and starts the process! For this occasion, I used my new table runner from my latest collection, Lost in Paradise. This collection is all about lush jungles and summer nights in a tropical paradise. With the weather still a bit dreary here, it was a dream to feel like I was hosting amidst the tropics!
1. SETTING THE SCENE
With my table runner set I then need to fill the table out. You really can’t go wrong with some gorgeous flowers! Adding some vibrant blooms and foliage really brought the table to life. Adding a few additional pieces like candles and ornaments really helps to bring it all together.
2. TABLEWARE
I have four gorgeous new plate designs with my new collection so I just had to use them. I then selected cutlery, glasses and serviettes. All making sure they go with my theme by using the plates as a colour palette guide.

3. FINISHING TOUCHES
Napkin rings and name cards then add those little finishing touches to the table!
4. FOOD
If you’re anything like me, when you are hosting a dinner party you want to keep things simple. I stick to easy recipes or choose a dish that can be made earlier or be left to bake away in the oven while you are busy chatting with your friends.
5. DRINKS
Having a special drink is always a great bit of fun at a dinner party. To add a little bit of spice, I went with a Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita! Not only was it delicious but it also paired perfectly with the rest of the table.
